This is honestly the best at home hair color I have ever used. I’ve been coloring my hair at home for years and have tried many different color products. I have a bit of grey and this color covers it perfectly. I use dark brown (golden). It’s a beautiful rich and a shiny chestnut brown. It doesn’t fade and lasts longer than any other product that I’ve used in the past.

Been using eSalon for several years, which has saved me sooo much money from salons. 😊 I get great color now, just miss having someone to help me apply the color. Oh well. BTW, if you haven't seen them, the How-To videos for applying color by yourself are very helpful (especially for those with long hair).
Overall I'm very happy with the custom color sets. As my skin and hair changes with aging, I have tweaked the color with eSalon's help. This you can't really do that with boxed hair color kits.

I was sceptical that I would achieve the same standard of colour and coverage as my salon. But, I did, and at a quarter of the price too. It was easy to apply to my shoulder length hair (with a little help for the back section). I am three weeks in and the colour is still vibrant and greys haven't even started to peep through. Nice touch to provide all the little extras such as shampoo, conditioner, wipes and a free brush. Have recommended to a bunch of my friends.

Le résultat est parfait ! couleur super naturelle, excellente couverture des cheveux blancs, une brillance sublime, les cheveux sont très doux.
J'étais un peu inquiète de mon choix et de la couleur une fois mélangée mais le résultant est vraiment sympa.
Petite suggestion : vraiment beaucoup d'emballages... des cartons etc. c'est très joli lorsqu'on le reçoit mais une couleur s'est déjà par très écolo alors les cartons les papiers, les plastiques... peut être un peu moins ?

I love the softness of my hair after I colored it. The color was slightly darker than I was using but it is a good color.
No plans to change at this time. I feel like I didn't get the gray covered at my temples like I should have. Over all I love this product and plan to continue using.

It’s all here, beautifully packaged, thoughtfully organized, directions clear and straightforward. Esalon anticipated my every need, down to the smallest detail. The directions, which come with a sticky note so I can attach them to my mirror, are printed in font large enough I don’t need my cheaters. The extra set of disposable gloves are a nice safety net for us novice home colorists. I have very thick hair and I had product to spare. Bonus, it actually smelled ok! I’ve placed my second order, with a newfound confidence in home coloring. Saving money, loving my hair, thank you esalon!

I have not had good results with at home coloring, especially trying to pick out the right shade. But since everything is shut down & my stylist was unavailable during this time I decided to take a chance - having heard good reviews on Facebook. I was not expecting this hair colour to be very good based on past experiences with home colouring. I was very impressed how good it was. The packaging, instructions and all you need was there! I love that it was personalised for me. I needed help applying colour to the back of my head but the overall experience was great.
The colour looked amazing like I had just left a salon. Even after isolation, I will continue to colour my hair at home!!

First time ever colouring my hair at home. Very impressed with the ease of application and the results. Completely covered the grey roots. My hairdresser had given me an idea of colour I needed and this was one of the colours suggestions I was given after online consultation.

I was hesitant to dye my own hair, but with the global pandemic, I was desperate to get a spring back into my step. I ordered this kit, and the color I selected was almost a perfect match for what Color I normally dye my hair (very vibrant purple). The shipping was delayed a little, but the kit arrived and was very easy to use.
Make sure you read the tips online in addition to the instructions that arrive. There’s a few differences online versus the handout that will help make the application easier.
Absolutely cover yourself in the stain guard—Hair dye gets everywhere despite your best intentions. You’ll also need an extra wipe if you make a mess (I used baby wipes after I used the complimentary wipe in the kit).
Make sure you are in a well ventilated space as well. Although I love the dye, it made my husband feel a little woozy.
DEFINITELY worth the price if you’re willing to put the work in!

I have red hair with a lot of um blonde/white in it - especially around the face. I didn’t want a flat color. I wanted something that would look extremely natural. I don’t need root coverage - just for strips of my Bonnie raitt white. I also haven’t colored my hair much over my 53 years cause I didn’t think anybody could give me the depth and variations that are in my natural color. This was an incredible experience. Not only is the color fantastically natural - they matched my photo exactly - but I can apply it where I need with a q tip which ensures I keep my variations. I am so very impressed. Thank-you!

I am not a hair stylist! I am not a colorist! Although, my uncertainty and fear of the first time try did stop me from jumping right in, this is an outstanding service! I was amazed at the quality of the hair product! Beautiful shade of brown matched my skin tone perfectly! Easy to apply with easy to follow instructions. I am definitely adding this to my hair routine instead of my expensive salon visits!

This was a 2nd order for me. After I gave my feedback about my first color and I was asked if adjustments were needed. They were and I admit I was skeptical I would love it the 2nd time, but I DID! Got it right and I am so happy with the results!

I found the color to be exactly what I wanted and have reordered it for this month. It was easy to use, I have colored my hair at home for many years but, recently I have begun to have trouble getting the color like I want it. Not true here! I got exactly what I wanted and love the color, I highly recommend this product.

It was super easy to follow the instructions and to apply it. I will be ordering again. I've already recommended eSalon to friends and family. I also love how you will always have my color saved and I don't have to try to pick or remember the same color I bought before.

I wasn’t easy to do alone, so my friend helped me. I really liked the short processing times and my hair came out great. A perfect match! I will be using esalon again, just this time I’m going to add more copper!! I’m excited!

Quarantine time!! I was a little worried about what I may get, but ordered the color I thought and then uploaded a picture so the stylist would be able to tweak. She tweaked, it came this week and today I did a root touch up and the end treatment. The online videos were great, as well as instructions, very helpful.
The color is wonderful, better than the color my normal salon stylist has picked - more like my natural color. I have a lot of gray hair, which have proven to be very resistant grays - I was also looking at Madison Reed and they had specific bland colors for resistant grays which had some poor reviews, while esalon seems to note all their colors as good for resistant grays and I didn't locate many bad reviews on gray coverage.
When I got the kit, I was worried about the amount of time for my coloring - should I add more time for my resistant grays, but I decided to go with their prescribed time (20 for roots and additional 5 for ends). My grays were completely covered, with this wonderful brown color.
I'm very pleased!

This was my first experience at coloring my own grays. Loved the color and coworkers noticed also-positively. I am very pleased with the results. I may need to tone it a bit. The product odor was strong but not unbearable. I used a brush but may try the bottle next time. Also loved the shampoo/conditioner. My hair felt smooth and had such glossy shine (I have curly hair but wore it straight). Thank you!!

I am very light blonde and have been only going to high end salons. With quarantine I have to colour at home now, which I have never done. The colour is perfect.....just as good as a $300 colour from the salon!!!!! So happy! After covid is done, I will likely stick with this!!!!!

I absolutely love eSalon! You tell them you want your hair to be. They match it up by a professional stylist and send it your way.
I received my first kit March. I loved it. Everything you need to color your hair is included in the kit. My sister and I read all the instructions and she put it in my hair. They thought of everything, including Vaseline to put on the hair line at forehead and around. My stylist never did that!! I was very pleased with my color as it looked very bold and it so much more reasonable than a salon costs. I’m hooked. Looking forward to my next kit arriving soon! Thank you eSalon!
