Loved the color and coverage! However....Loved the coverage and color but immediately discontinued my monthly plan, due to the fact that when washing out the dye, it made my hair one big mass ball of the dryest straw ever! My once silky fine hair, felt like a thick mass of straw! The conditioner helped but it took a weeks of deep treatments to make it feel like my own hair again. Too dark based on previous commentsMy initial problem when trying to color my 51 year old husband's hair was finding something that brought him back to his natural dark sandy blond/light brown hair color instead of all-over gray. With my own mixes, it kept coming out with a ton of red, and I could never capture a natural looking hue. We've been close with the eSalon blends, but still finding too much red. This last blend has still not gotten rid of the hot red/gold tones, but now seems to be a level darker than what we had in the 2 previous mixes. Not what I expectedI found that the roots color was darker than I expected. And there was a bottle missing. It was a free extra color for roots I believe. Fabulous color and care for a fraction of the expensive salon price!Ordering my second batch, with a slight adjustment (deciding to go RED for Christmas) and have had a great experience so far. The color came out great, the process was catered to me and the directions were easy to follow. The team even responded quickly when I had additional "nervous-beginner" questions. Great product!Before I even purchased my AMAZING hair color, I did some research. I did find the written instructions a little intimidating. But then I was directed to the video section, and the process was so much clearer. When my package arrived, I couldn't wait to try it. Let's just say my application technique needed to be refined. LOL. But when my third box arrived, Roots Only, I had much better technique. My color was tweaked between the first and second box, and I LOVE my hair color. I always get compliments on it!
