AWESOMEThe kit was perfect! Everything you need to get started is right there. I was a bit worried using it the day before a birthday celebration with family. I was awed after my hair dried. It covers gray wellThis is a great color for me, it covers the gray well and is easy to mix and use. I wish the color guard (petroleum jelly) actually protected my skin from color. If I use it too close to the hairline, the little grays at the hairline don't get colored. If I don't use it close to the hairline, my skin stays stained for days. I have used several different salons and salon always has a better color matchI have used several salons always coming away with red in my hair which I don't like. salon seems to really understand the color I am looking to achieve, My only issue is I would like more detailed help because I have root and side gray a layer of brown with gray hidden beneath. The instructions don't really explain when to color those hairs so I don't make the overall color darker. I went to a salon who attempted to tell me how bad home colors are they looked up the salon and the ingredients and had nothing bad to say. overall I love the concept the ability to show the color I want without someone telling me what color my hair should be. YUK, YUK, YUK - CANCEL CANCEL CANCELDespite following the instructions to the letter (including the bit about massaging the stuff in to "break up the residue") I am left with a disgusting waxy, greasy film on my hair - especially the bits I didn't even colour, which I can't get rid of. The shampoo supplied just made it worse. It was totally vile, I ended up trying to scrape it out with my fingernails. I think it has clogged up my shower drain. Nice tone but a tad darker than I wantedThe presentation of this product was great and I had everything I needed to colour my own hair. However, I would have perhaps liked to have been contacted by the colourist beforehand to check a couple of things. The colour has turned out darker than I would have liked. I said I had medium brown hair and didn’t want it darker, but I was sent a dark brown base colour which my hair has absorbed strongly.
