Beautiful color - but didn't cover all areasI love my newest color - well done! However, after thinking I had applied enough of the color to my roots first like the directions stated and then pulling it out to the ends, I found that it didn't fully cover some of my grays at the root. nice uniform color but not cover my gray hair 100%I followed the instructions but after shaping I noticed the gray hair on my forehead line still were there ,the color didn't covered them. The color stayed in but....I had a really hard time trying to color my own hair. The stain remover wipe was a bit small for me. I am the first to admit, I am not the neatest person in the world, when it comes to coloring my own hair. I have had it slopped on the rug, the bathroom door, the mirror, and somehow, the ceiling of my bathroom. Don't ask me how I did that last one. My husband will come back and clean me up, but with this custom hair color, he tried and tried to get it off my skin. It was on there for about 2-3 weeks before it started wearing off. I did use the stain guard wipe. He did use the stain remover wipe, and even he said that it was too small. He thinks, as I do, that they either need to be bigger, or you need to have more then 1 little packet in the package. Like I said, I am not the neatest person when it comes to coloring my own hair. Other then that, everything was great. My color stayed. My roots are now showing, as it has been about 12 weeks since the last time I colored. Yucky gunk in hairThe dye left thick, sticky gunk in my hair (particularly the root areas). It took a long time to wash out. I even went and got Dawn dishsoap in case I couldn't get it out with other stuff. I tried the shampoo provided by eSalon and it started to get it out. I had to ration the shampoo and use it 3 times before the gunk was gone. It left my hair squeaky and coated until I washed it again. The color was great but I can get the same color (just doesn't last as long) with store bought and not the hassle of spending 20-30 minutes trying to get the crap out of my hair. allergic reaction to chemicalsI liked the color, but my scalp and hands had an allergic reaction to the chemicals, I think this happened when I rinsed my hair without gloves on to remove the remaining hair color. eeekkkk!Followed directions to a T but results were not good. Roots much lighter than rest of hair, orange/brassy tone in spots and color was much darker than I expected.
